Announcement
On Wednesday, March 19th,
, an ultimatum declared by President Bush demanding
a Hussein family abdication under repercussion of
military force expired unembraced. Starting around
9:30 PM on that same Wednesday, the first wave of
tomahawk missiles struck strategic locations in
and around Baghdad, as the quest to liberate Iraq
from an oppressive autocratic regime, Operation:
Iraq Freedom commenced. We here at osucr.org will
try to bring you the latest up to date coverage
of this military campaign as it develops.

Hello CRs! I wanted to post this information so that everybody knows what plans and events are on tap for our Pro-America Rally. It will be held on Sunday, April 27, at 4:30 PM on the corner of N. High St. and 15th St. Matt and myself have issued press releases to The Lantern, Columbus Dispatch, The Other Paper, as well as local television media. We have also contacted the Ohio Republican Party and notified them of the event, and have invited all of the College Republican organizations state-wide to attend our event. We will need to make signs and bring flags to the event, as well as a stereo to blare patriotic tunes. In addition, I will be interviewed by RADIOU Columbus on Thursday, April 24 at 7:45 AM. Although it is very early and competing with the great Howard Stern, it is free publicity and will be heard by many (at least 7 or so)people. If you guys want to take a listen, tune in at this time to hear me speak about this excellent event to the citizens of Columbus. We are currently contemplating potential speakers to invite to our event. If any of you guys have ideas, suggestions, questions or concerns about anything, please do not hesitate to contact myself (hammond.183@osu.edu) or Executive Director Matt Naugle (naugle.7@osu.edu). On another note, we have a web version of The Sentinel, our new conservative newspaper, up. It can be accessed via www.osusentinel.com. It also has a link for information on the Pro-America Rally, as well as a downloadable flyer that you may print out and distribute. The site features articles by me, Brian Stewart, Laura Corcoran, Ken Smith and Stephen Dronen. In May, we will be releasing the full print version with our other writers to the campus at large. See you all next week.

finally... I had been sort of apathetic in fixing the forum... but it's all fixed now. I increased the capacity of the table so necessary... such session errors shouldn't... shouldn't happen again...
btw, it's very flattering to hear that people were wanting to use the forum in it's absence...
btw, Mike... I deleted your last post... it wasn't part of the problem in hindsight... but still... I deleted it for a safety precaution... sorry... it won't happen again... it was my first day...

The Roch says! The millions and millions of The Roch's CR fans will meet on Wednesday, April 16 at 8PM in Mendenhall Lab 100 (same Republican time, same Republican place, same Republican channel). We will be taking a group picture for MAKIO, The Ohio State Yearbook. We will briefly go over plans and updates for the amazing Pro-America rally to be held on Sunday, April 27 at 4:30 PM at the corner of 15th and High, as well as USG elections. The featured event will be the viewing of My Fellow Americans, a classic film starring the late, great Jack Lemmon. See you all tomorrow! If you smeeeeeeeeeeeeeeelllllllllllllllllllllllll what The ROCH is cookin'! Okay, that was just a tad egoistical, but that's me.

state of the website address

umm... sure.. why not...
anyways, onto website stuff, Naugle told me that
for some reason, osucr.org was not
named Best Website at Convention. Rather, the Bowling
Green State University College Republicans Website
was... Perhaps i'm the only one, but I don't know
how a Java-riddled, no-fun, bandwidth-consuming,
slow-loading, third-party-domain-referring, visually
inadequate website can be deemed better than a PHP/MySQL/CGI-self-contained,
action-packed, intellectually drawing, aesthetically
pleasing, juggernaut... created entirely in
Notepad by a webtechie gang$ta...
hey.. Officers, if'n you have any pictures of yourself, Chris, Roch, Matt, John, Derek... e-mail me...
The above comment holds true if you're also running for office, or just have some fun pictures... please.. we need pictures...
Also, while i do have ideas of what to do with the site to make it even more exciting than it already is.. [okay, i embellished a little... but still..], please, if you have any fun, only-slightly-offensive ideas for the site, let me know. If you have any, and i mean any artwork or graphics [wallpapers, flash animations, banners, anything!], Republican/conservative oriented, that you'd like to showcase, let me know. Please... i'm trying to get people excited about this website...
Last night, Wednesday April 9th, Roch Hammond, by virtue of his two late posts, broke a string of 26 consecutive posts by myself and Teddy Roosevelt... indeed was a momentous occasion... i really wish it'd never have to get to 26 consecutive posts like that, please, discuss, share ideas on the forum, just, for the love of God, post! It's an easy and aesthetically pleasing way to communicate..
lastly, there are some websites that have undergone some nice reconstruction, and are looking better. As I am a firm believer that the World Wide Web can entice and enthrall an entire generation of young Republicans or could-be young Republicans, I'd like to give..umm.. a 'shoutout', or 'mad props, yo' to these sites:
-- Northwestern University College Republicans
-- IU College Republicans
and, upon that, have a nice day

touching visual for y'all...

okay... now i've seen alot of touching images from the war, such as Jessica Lynch smiling once she was rescued, some children being saved by marines, others greeting the liberating coalition forces from Britain, US, and Poland, and elsewhere, and especially that really cool image of that Iraqi pounding a shoe on a Saddam mural...
but this image, for some reason, really got to me...
as far as i'm concerned now... France, Germany, Russia, China, Belgium, and the entire Middle East sans Israel and Kuwait have two options: to kindly shut the hell up and/or to put that in their collective pipes and smoke it..
